It's A Party Song!

Emery has a new song online called "Party Song". It's energetic, and quite a fresh sound for the band. It leans more toward The Question but still stand alone. Listen to it.

I have two opinions here. One is that the song is terrible. It's hard to believe that the band that once wrote "Ponytail Parade" is now writing "get your party on" in some bland Anberlin-wannabe rock song.

Another part of me wants to say hey, if you knew nothing about the band before this song, you'd give them more of a chance. It's a decent song that may grow on you. But who knows?

I really don't think it's that bad of a song, but I can definitely see where the nay-sayers are coming from.

yea definitely don't know how they could go from amazing songs like ponytail parades to this little poppy thing.

i like it, i think it sounds good, but for Emery my expectations were set at STINKIN WONDERFUL... not at 'good.'

Um, this song has a good beat and is catchy, and it's about more than just partying if you listen to it. Also, I've liked Emery since before they released The Weak's End. So when you write and compose a song better than that, then you can say it's terrible. Like I said, it's not great, it's okay.

ive got no problem with the music or the content. i just know theyve got more in them than "party song". just wondering where that went.

and im a firm believer in the idea that you dont have to do something better than somebody else to recognize that they didnt do it well. if that makes sense.

The message with this song is "stop partying".

It was an alright song, but I hope they mix up the sound more instead of making "The Question 2.0".

Also, the album is going to have a strong Straight Edge theme.
