OMG WTF CV!!! NOES!!!

YOU KIDS!!! YOU DID THIS! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!!!

Well it's official, Tobymac screwed over one of the greatest bands ever.

Chasing Victory has officially broken up.

Read their blog.

This is all your fault for not buying Fiends.

Thank you so much, Toby Mac and you stupid scene kids that wouldn't know excellence if it bit you in the butt.

its no ones fault except chasing victory. you cant put out a blues album to a crowd of scene kids and expect it to survive. not saying "Fiends" is blues, but you get the idea.

maybe in two years people will quit listening to whatever everyone else says is cool and realize how good fiends was

this is it said...

i agree with me... they broke up because the "lost the passion"... not because of scene queens and toby mac. its a fact of the industry that you cannot survive forever touring unless youre ACDC. i respect their decision because they, being at the peak of their careers are able to walk away from it realizing theyre not putting their hearts into it like they should have and like they did in the past. that takes more courage and heart than anything you can ever do in the music industry... so i say Good luck. and God bless!

I think they had one more good album in them, actually.

A return to I Call This Abandonment.

The blame falls squarely on us for punishing them for trying to do something new.

blamin it on tobymac was kinda childish...

and "fiends" was more accepted in the scene than "i call this abandonment"... just, fyi.

so, it was just the band.

Dude, what right does Tobymac have to have a hardcore record label?

This is just one of many bands to break up after being "discovered" by the Macster.

I have respect for him...back in the DC Talk days.

But I straight up don't like him, mainly because him and Tait are the reason DC Talk aren't getting back together.

Fiends was more accepted by the mainstream but they lost ALOT of fan support.

omg, it's Beloved all over again! seriously, these guys quickly went from "okay Underoath rip-off" to one of my absolute favorite bands this year. Fiends is still at the top of my list of great 2007 albums. This sucks sooooooo much! Although I don't get the whole TobyMac connection to their breakup (I know he's the label owner or whatever) but it sounds like they just didn't want to play together anymore. Or at least, that's what they want us to think...

I really don't blame them for going in a new direction with Fiends, but it really was too generic for me. The first three songs are great but after that, the disc is pretty bland. It sucks that they are breaking up but its not like it is completely unexpected.

I kinda saw it coming, but like I said, I think they had one more good cd in them (following the three-and-out rule) before totally disengrating into hairmetal-esque competition in the band.
