I was just wondering, how many of you guys get an opportunity to go to local shows?
I'd like to consider myself a big supporter of unsigned/local groups, but I haven't been to any shows featuring local Florida bands.
However, I hope to soon.

I've been to four in the last week and a half. I live in Indianapolis area and our Christian Hardcore scene has just been blowing up since Haste The Day and now Gwen Stacy.
with the brandon area its mostly hit or miss for me. lately my attendance has been low due to money issues, but we get waves of good shows. id say once every 6-8 weeks for me at this point.
florida has a good local scene
check out all the day holiday, really good stuff
we have a pretty decent local scene here in arkansas. bands like asteios, kaiden, and strike the choir seem to be really developing their sound.
all of those are worth checking out.
Kevin, have you gotten a chance to hear The Candy Bars?
Best local indie band.
Other than that though, FL's scene has been drowning in metalcore.
