While I agree with him on the fact that thinking that music will make people lose their minds (and their virginities) is 50s thinking, even for Christians...that's all I got.
no. doesn't justify the risk of kids losing their virginity. sullivan is a good band, but brooks, no. it doesn't justify ANYTHING. if kids lose their virginity because of this, imma stop listening to your band.
yea i'll give you that, aids is completely different. b4b isn't mocking sickness or stds. i guess that just, i feel a stronger conviction on things like pre-marital sex than others MIGHT. so even though i know its a joke, i don't feel right joking about it. so it just doesn't rub me the right way at all. i have a sense of humor, i promise. this just isn't funny to me. oh well.
Anonymous (if that is your real name!) I think it's funny you feel that kids are kids wouldn't be sexing it up to music if Sullivan never said anything about or ever made this joke.
If kids are gonna have pre-marital sex I'd rather them have it to Sullivan then I dunno...ICP or something.
how bout we just don't have kids have pre-martial sex in the first place? it'd be better actually with icp because that's what their fans are prone to do. sullivan has CHRISTIAN members. what a bad name for christians if kids are sexing it up to sullivan. it's like saying 'naw, it'd be better to make the christians look bad'. no. sorry dan, i respect you, but not your last comment.
If you think that kids are going to have sex just because Sullivan releases acoustic tracks and jokes about it you are underestimating the youth today.
And kids would probably have sex to Sullivan songs anyway, it's just that sexy.

I still think the b4b thing is lame. haha. :]
hes right. i have no life. and in fact, im starting a website making fun of people with aids. cause its a joke so theres nothing to worry about right?
eff.
I'm still torn on this issue.

Maybe I'm not that torn.
Also, making fun of AIDS victims and making jokes about sexing it up to acoustic tunes is two totally different things.
Not even the same category, bro.

side note: acoustic tracks = brilliant sound.

I do too, but I'm as guilty as anyone about making such jokes.
very true.

Really? because i wouldn't want that negativity pegged to sullivan songs. because i like sullivan songs. haha.
It's a matter of what I like better.
Maybe Brooks' voice will make them reconsider.
i like the way his voice sounds and i had to laugh at that, high five.
Plus, like most rapcore, ICP promotes negative stereotypes of women, minorities and midgets.
While Sullivan promotes a positive image towards emo kids as more than just shoegazing, livejournaling, myspacing scene whores.
Which would you rather have kids listening to, even in the intimate times?

I think you are missing the point.

um.... no. sullivan is not.
maybe T.I. but not sullifag.
I love how you hide behind or anonymity and make homophobic jokes.
Your not or.
the anonymous that just posted ^ is not the same anonymous that made the last few posts.
I figured. That's why I said the whole thing about hiding behind anonymity.
