crazy. bad. well who knows. a lot of bands weren't as good as they are now after aaron sprinkle fixed em up. besides, they can be the new demon hunter's little bro.
Mayhaps this will kill the "T&N only signs Christians" stereotype, despite the fact Stretch Arm Strong was on there a while ago.
I need to know something, does anyone remember awhile back, around the time Solid State signed Cry of The Afflicted, weren't they also rumored to sign a band called We Held Manhattan?
tooth and nail has signed lots of bands that weren't Christian. Like Sullivan and Jonezetta, and if they are...well they sure fooled me. but hmm...i never heard anything about them signing We Held Manhattan
the becoming aren't christian? and didn't they sign my favorite highway? mfh says 'damn' in one song... and what about once nothing? porbably not christian cause i mean look at their life style. cigars and gambling...
almost none of the Tooth & Nail/Solid State bands are "christian." Most of them have CHRISTIANS in the band, but only a select few use their band as a ministry (Demon Hunter, for example)
I'm totally against the whole "Christian music" thing.
Music is music, and half of the bands out there who are "Christian bands" suck, so I really wouldn't want them representing my religion.
I think a ROCK band (not a worship band) should be about making music, not delibrately going out there to make people worship your religion and your god.
Obviously, you write music with what inspires you, and religion and faith plays heavily into a lot of faith-based (but not "Christian") bands' music. but it shouldn't be about trying to sell your faith.
I like what Stephen Christian said about being in a band made up of Christian and non-Christians. I'm totally paraphrasing this, but he said something to the effect of "I am a Christian, but I will never use the mic stand as a pulpit."
And it's totally not up to us to say if someone or some band is "Christian".
And Once Nothing is a band of believers, and if I ever see anyone else attack their faith or any other bands faith I will have to politely ask you to leave.
I definitely see your side on that. Because all too often Christianity gets pegged with bad music. Which sucks. But, there are bands out there [Showbread for an example] who believe their music is their ministry. It's what God called them to do to spread the gospel. And I can't argue with that a bit.
T&N/SS don't sign just christian bands, I mean come on they have He Is Legend who goes to christian festivals and plays drunk and at the end of the show have a stripper on stage during the end of "I Am Hollywood".
And this isn't just a rumor, I was there and saw it with my own two eyes.
And Showbread is about the only band that comes to mind that I would totally want representing my religion. I was going to bring that up but I was tired when I typed that and forgot.
Wow ya know I totally agree. Showbread, and Demon Hunter are about the only "Christian" bands I know of ... The Showdown is good too.
Now that I think about that I will have to take that back. I have met War of Ages and talked to some of guys ... They are really firm in what they believe. I talked to Steve a lot, and he was saying that as a band they are going to be talking a break from touring and go back to their families. They really want to seek what God wants for them as a band and for their new album. It was really great to talk to them ... I was pretty impressed
Exactly. One of the many reasons I'm proud to claim Showbread as one my favorites. They don't just perform songs, but they live out their faith, and it's an awesome example.
If you are looking for a good band that lives out their faith, look no further then This Providence.
I usually don't listen to a lot of stuff on Fueled By Ramen (despite the fact they are a local establishment) but them and Paramore are really good bands.

in the contract says: "...hum by the way, you guys need to be christians".
What is with the T&N/SS massive signing spree lately??
And +1 to the Demon Hunter comment above, haha.

How do you guys know they aren't Christians? jw
i thought the becoming's lyrics were spiritual sounding. but whatever.
What Brandon said is true.

Still though, their music is amazing.
I believe you on the He Is Legend bit.

And I think what Showbread does is a lot better then what other "Christian" bands do in terms of ministry. They put their words into action.
I mean, whens the last time you saw Relient K go to Africa on a missions trip? They are too busy being on TRL.

Cool, I'll have to check them out.
nikki sixx. they kinda sound like him. and after some listens, they aren't horrible, just not good.
They actually are Christians if you are referring to the way they live their lives. I can attest to this, I know them personally.
