bad, bad sign. some of the most generic music i've heard! what were they thinking? this is possibly worse than the becoming!

At least As Cites Burn and Far-Less had good releases this year. Too bad the rest of this years Nail releases kind of sucked. And all the new signed bands kind of.....suck. A Dream To Late isn't all that bad. And my cousin's band is on there (Ruth). We can look forward to new Showbread and mewithoutYou in 2008. But yeah, for the most part it's looking severely bleak for T&N.

The Glorious Unseen-Amazing
Neon Horse-Crazy Fun
Surrogate-Crminally Underrated
Ruth-Alright
A Dream Too Late-Sucks, They aren't experimental enough!
The Send-Too Poppy
Ivoryline-What's to say about them?
Corey Crowder-Nothing too special
The Becoming-Not Gothic enough
The Brothers Martin-Phenomenal

That is my take on the newer T&N bands.

Children 18:3's debut album is going to be awesome. They're from around here and they've played some new stuff live and its quite spectacular. Not only that, its being produced by Steve Wilson who was also behind the Jonezetta record. It'll be good, the sky is not falling.

i just saw Once Nothing (one of Solid State's new signings) open up for Gwen Stacy (newly signed to Ferret) tonight at a Indianapolis Homecoming show (Gwen has been out of town since April) and they BLEW ME AWAY. Once Nothing came out of nowhere and just took over the show (the show before Gwen played of course). The screamer has an excellent voice, the songs are catchy and extremely fun. They really know how to get a crowd going. Life In Your Way, another Solid State n00b, played between Once Nothing and Gwen Stacy. As much as I liked the CD, their set bored me and most of the audience to tears.

long story short: Gwen Stacy and Once Nothing are bands to look out for.
